Ball Cap & Basics

This unseasonably warm weather has been THE BEST for taking pictures, because shooting in the cold is just as horrible as it sounds.  It’s a shame that I’ve been so bad about taking advantage of it… If you follow me on Instagram ( @mariahlharrison) first of all THANK YOU! — Secondly, you’ll notice that I’m playing around with video a lot more. The camera on the Iphone 7 is pretty stellar so I’ve been using it to take short videos, and then I edit them with IMovie. Video is what I’m comfortable with, it’s my career, it’s my medium. I’m not planning to launch a YouTube channel any time soon, but I am starting to look for more opportunities to incorporate video and other forms of a media into my blogging these days. Speaking of blogging adventures, I met up with my cousins in Ann Arbor for a little business lunch and snapped these shots at Zingerman’s Roadhouse … but we actually ate at Seva (which is right across the parking lot) because I live for their general tso’s cauliflower.

This sweater falls somewhere in between a keyhole and choker neckline. It was an impulse buy during the winter sale at Retail Therapy, and I regret nothing about it. The bodice is line and the sleeves are a little sheer and bell out at the ends — I love it. See that fun boho tassel clutch? It’s the coolest thing ever, and it was a gift from Dana at Presently In (we teamed up for a giveaway a little while ago!) She curates the most gorgeous pieces from Peru and beyond. This one is called the Zig Ayacucho clutch, and the wool fabric is from Arequipa. The sneakers are from Agaci and they’re shiny — which is my favorite part! I bought them to go with everything and they go with almost everything in my closet. These are perfect for the lazy chill days where I can only muster the minimal effort, but look like I tried 🙂
