You know that feeling when you have too much to do, and as a result you don’t want to do any of it? That’s been me for the passed 2 weeks.
Between researching stories and taking a weekend off and visiting friends in Chicago..I haven’t been posting regularly.
I’m back on track now as much as I can be lol and finally posting pictures from my trip!
The drive from Mid-Michigan to Chicago is 3 hours and some change, but you get to gain an hour when you get there so that’s cool.
I wanted to be comfy on the long drive, but had to be presentable because I tagged along on my friend’s dad’s birthday lunch 🙂
This striped romper has a relaxed enough fit to wear for several hours, but a classy enough cut to hangout with your friends parents.
The other great thing about it is that I didn’t buy it. I borrowed it from a co-worker.
When you add up the contents of your closet, and the closets of your closest most fashionable friends the possibilities are endless!
Being willing to lend and swap clothing is great on and off duty. Business casual attire can get pricey QUICKLY, so if you’re willing to do the same, see if your coworkers or close friends are willing to do a clothing swap, or at least let you borrow something for a little while. I just joined a Facebook group with a bunch of other lovely reporters selling/swapping/giving away clothing that we don’t wear much anymore. I wish I had known about it sooner.
Just remember to be extra nice to the clothing or jewelry that you borrow, or people won’t let you borrow stuff anymore!
