We’re almost done with October in Michigan and what a roller coaster ride it’s been! Any place where it can be 70 degrees at noon on Tuesday then 47 degrees at noon on Friday is truly magical. Since I work in morning news, I don’t get out much at night. Which is fine, because what’s more fun than sleeping? Last week I was asked to moderate a panel discussion between a local police department and community members, and I was VERY nervous because police relations and community understanding is such a sensitive topic… but everything went so well! (except the fact that I got home well after 10pm) I saw people walk in with questions and grievances and leave with hope, understanding, and a better connection with local officers. The next night, I was asked to host a fashion show featuring the Fall collection from Belle Row Boutique. This was a blast! The show was inside of the Runway Lansing Fashion Incubator, where 3 local designers were awarded $300 each to further their businesses. Yay for small businesses and buying local!! But lets talk about the clothes! I’ve always been a HUGE fan of Belle Row and the Fall collection is no different. There’s a shimmery gold dust shift dress that I wanted to rip right off the model (pictured 3 models in from the right of the picture below). The clothes hit the sale floor the next day… so clearly I had to be the first customer in the store 🙂 I ended up taking home this grey sweater midi-length sweater dress, and this perfect blanket scarf. I say it’s perfect because look how big it is! I can wrap up like a cozy burrito and still be cute & chic. I’m developing an addiction…The new styles are all available in store at the moment, and should be available online later this week. I’ll make sure to link them ASAP!
