You never know when you’re going to need a jacket in Michigan, so I hope you have one you can depend on!
Warm + rainy is my least favorite forecast… and it looks like we’ll be warm + possibly rainy in the mitten for a while.
I bought this one from Urban Outfitters in college, and it has been with me ever since. It looks a little heavy I know, but it’s all about what you layer underneath it. This black blouse is sleeveless, so I wasn’t too warm.
Enough about the jacket, lets talk about these wide-leg silky pants from JCPenney! I spotted these on a clearance rack one day, they were a bit too long but the discount was too good to leave them there. They sat in the back of my closet for weeks until I pulled them out for an event at the governor’s mansion, then they sat in a drawer for several more months.
I had been meaning to have them hemmed but never got around to it. Finally, I got tired of looking at them. I pulled them out of the drawer, put them on, and threw 2 knots at the bottom. I put knots in maxi skirts and long T’s all the time, but this was my first pair of knotted pants.
Not bad, right??
They’re almost like faux harem pants, or hammer pants lol
I opted for a backpack instead of a purse because sometimes you just need something a little more heavy duty.
I anchored a morning show in this outfit, sans jacket of course, and then headed over to the Brenke Fish Ladder in Old Town which was really cool! I just wish I went on a warmer afternoon 🙁 good thing afternoons look warm from here on out!
