One of the reasons I started this little blog, is because of how much I love scrolling instagram…tumblr… etc. and seeing how different people styled different items.
I know I’m not the only one who likes to spot new trends online and then try them out in real life 🙂
Half the fun is finding a way to make that piece of clothing/accessory work for you and your own personal style, but it’s also half the battle.
This light peasant style boho jacket is my latest example.
I saw someone wearing a similar one on Instagram and loved it.
This particular person wasn’t wearing a shirt underneath it, but kept the strings tied tight so it looked like a flowy crop top.
” I can work with that.” I thought.
” It doesn’t look that revealing, I’ll be comfortable in it. ” I thought.
So I bought one. ($8.99 + free shipping, link to buy is below!)
I learned instantly that wearing the jacket with just a bralette underneath was NOT comfortable , and I most certainly could not work with that.
After some trial & error (and nearly giving the thing away to my little sister in a fit of frustration) I put a white cami underneath it and paired it with my favorite distressed cropped jeans for a boho fall transition look.
What worked for that other blogger didn’t work for me, but that’s okay! I felt better about making it my own in the end.

I found this fun mural wall while visiting Chicago.
I found the hat there too, at the Urban Outfitters Outlet which I never knew existed, and as a person with a large head… when you find a hat that fits comfortably, you buy it and cherish it and wear it as often as possible.
