It’s not hoarding if it’s skincare.
If you’re one of my regular readers then you’re probably aware that I work in morning news. Working a morning shift is an interesting balance of being camera ready hellishly early in the morning while simultaneously getting no sleep. I average 5-6 hours a night, but have to look bright-eyed and bushy-tailed by 4:30am or 6:00am on the weekends. So after almost 4 years of working overnights, I’ve gotten pretty good at faking it. I’m always on the hunt for under-eye plumpers, dark circle hiders, and any smoothing masks that can help me out when I don’t get as much rest as I need. I really enjoy using eye masks because there’s no clean up unlike other masks (where my lazy girls at?! lol) So when VIIcode Skincare asked me to test out their oxygen eye masks – I jumped at it.
I’m happy I jumped too, because I like these little guys. They’re advertised as sleep masks to be used for 8 hours a night (who gets 8 hours of sleep at night? and how do you do it?) BUT you can also use them during the day for a shorter amount of time, 2 hours recommended. Since I go to bed before the sun, I use a sleep mask at night and the bottom edge of the mask sometimes would get caught on the patch and peel it off, but when I didn’t use the mask the patches were still on when I woke up.
These didn’t really plump my under eye area, but I definitely felt that I looked more awake and the area felt a little less sunken. I enjoyed how the area felt, and my makeup laid very nicely on top. It’s like the gels breathed life back into that area. The company recommends using the gels for 3 nights to get the full treatment. So in conclusion, I’d recommend the VIIcode Skincare patches for anyone who has the time to let them sit overnight, and not looking to brighten any discoloration under their eyes.
*PRO TIP – toss the patches into the freezer for a more brightening effect, won’t totally fix discoloration but I think you’ll like the results!
