Dress Like Sunshine

Yellow reminds me of sunshine, and sunshine makes me smile. I used to dress in a ton of bright colors, and then adulthood sunk it’s teeth into my closet and mellowed out my color scheme. So this little ruffle number is kind of my triumphant return to bright casuals.

The color and style of this top screams young, fun, and hip but the dainty floral pattern screams Granny’s curtains. One of my best friends once described my style as a vintage, boho, glam –> I think this shirt checks all of those boxes. With the floral design, trendy off the shoulder cut, necktie, and bell shaped sleeve … I was a sucker as soon as I saw it.  The only downside about off the shoulder ruffle shirts is how much effort it takes to get the wrinkles out. This top has 3 different layers of ruffles that I had to get to, and used both my iron and my steamer.

In the Market for a New Steamer…

Speaking of steamers – I’m in the market for a new one because mine started doing this thing where it steams things to perfection and then spits water all over my clothing so that I can’t wear them immediately. It’s taunting me. What steamer do you use? Help a sister out in the comments!
