*reposting because curls don’t do well under rain/snow either
Life happens fast… news happens even faster.
On weekends when I anchor the morning news, there’s never enough time to read every story in the rundown… do a full face beat… and then start from scratch and curl my hair all before the show starts. It’s just not happening.
Pin curling is my way of saving time in the morning, and still feeling confident that I’ll be ready to go regardless of how much pre-show time I get. *BONUS* : you’ll use waaay less hairspray.
I started pin curling a couple of months ago thanks to my fabulous beautician Dani Elise life hasn’t been the same since.
I try to pin curl it every night before bed, and when I don’t I wish I had.
I start by sectioning my hair in 2 parts, down the middle sort of.
Clip one half.
Then split the other side in half ( top/bottom ) .
Start from the bottom by curling 1′–2′ sections and working your way up.
Catch the curl at the bottom, roll it to your scalp, then pin it!
Repeat all over your head, and remember to work your way up from the bottom.
I come to work with the pins still in…here’s some proof:
…and take them out right before show time with minimal touch ups.
