I hope 2017 is treating you well so far. I’ve been getting into a more positive head-space lately, and Oprah has a lot to do with it. I’ve been an Oprah fan since I was old enough to understand that weekdays at 4 o’ clock was a way of life, not just a TV show.
So around 8 years old.
I’ve been immersing myself in a lot of Oprah. I got the 20th Anniversary of The Oprah Winfrey Show for Christmas, and WBEZ in Chicago released the loveliest podcast “Making Oprah” hosted by Jenn White who did an AMAZING job and is an enviable storyteller ( and has the smoothest voice). I’ve already listened to the 3 part podcast twice through, and I’ve been working my way through the anniversary dvds. As a young black journalist with two x chromosomes Oprah is goals, but also proof and hope and everything that I can’t put into words. To wrap it up, I’m hyping myself up for 2017 and can’t wait to grow personally & professionally!
This Romwe sweater is half of a co-ord skirt set that I got for $11. The jeans are Zara, I love Zara jeans. I used to be a devout Forever 21 jean wearer, until I stumbled upon the Zara sale section. They’re thicker & the fit is nicer. I also have a pair of H&M jeans that I like, but the Zara fit is better. Shoes are Zara too, head to my instagram to appreciate the metallic heel properly. ( @mariahlharrison ) Also, on Instagram details on how to receive this lovely PresentlyIn clutch in the mail. This is the Ancash Clutch, made with wool from Peru. My other favorites are the Maca Wool Shoulder Bag, the Cinturon Pom Basket, and the Miraflores Hybrid Crossbody Bag. These one-of-a-kind bags add awesome pops of color!
