It’s not a style post, but I wanted to share these gems from my weekend at Ohiopyle State Park!
13 years ago I went there on a school camping trip with my entire 7th grade class. At the time I didn’t think camping was for me, but I’ve become rather outdoorsy in the last 2 years and decided to head back for a weekend getaway 🙂
Pennsylvania is full of hills, hills are all over the place. The hills are beautiful to look at… not so much fun to hike …especially when you accidentally set out for a 10 mile hike and forget to pack snacks…
Let’s just say that some landmarks on the map, the natural water slides to be exact, weren’t as close as they appeared… but it was a happy accident because I ended up having a great time, and the nicest woman gave our group a ride to the slides!
…we had to hike back to the campground though…
and somehow it felt uphill both ways.
I bought a new backpack for the occasion from Mountain Warehouse, they were running a really good sale where water bladders were buy one get one free!
The yellow hooded vest is from the Forever 21 athletic line, and was perfect for the muggy weather. Light & cute.
I originally bought it for a weekly fitness segment I hosted on the morning show I report for, but we ended up discontinuing the segment.
The vest was too cute to discontinue.
Speaking of activewear, I worked out for the first time in months this week (!!!) so I figure I’ll start investing in some cute workout gear now.
I have a ton of cute things saved in My Forever 21 cart:
*** if you’re looking for some real entertainment scroll to the bottom for a picture of me trying to do a pull up on the ‘Fitness Trail’… that’s as high as I could go by myself. You’ll see why I started working out this week lol
